Not just the superheroes have their origin stories and background but there are video games which have their own stories. Well some of them are known by the players but still, there are lots of famous games whose origin story is hidden. Not just knowing their origin will interest you but also change the way of your perspective towards them too.

Pac Man

Hands down but there is nothing more popular than Pan Man.  There is a huge population who is crazy about the yellow open face character. But how many of you do know about the origin story? Well, Pac- the man was designed by the Toru Iwatani who got the Pacman idea when he was eating pizza. So basicaPacmane Pacman character is a pizza with a missing slice. Also, the pallets was actually a cookie but when the Pacman came to the US, the pallets changed. Not just that, the Pac man was first named as puck- puck ( word refer to the Japanese version of munching). But it also resembled the American ‘ F’ word, that’s why the creators changed into Pac Man.

Mario  Bros

Mario Bros is actually a cult game which changed the video game world on so many levels. But the story behind how the game got its game is very interesting. Well, the developers were ready with the release of Donkey Kong in America and at that time Mario was named as ‘ Jump Man’. However, before that, the landlord of the company barged in the room, asking about the payment for the monthly rent. Well, his name was Mario Segale. And that’s how the developers get the name for their little hero.

Street Fighter II

The game was the  Street fighter ‘s sequel which was released in 1987 which proved that installments can be equally interesting and fun. Along with that, the combo attacks was the most highlighted part which also considered as one of the most innovative ideas. However, the most innovative idea was basically a  bug that was overlooked and ignored. But when the game was on its final test, the game’s system timed some sequences and that’s how the combat mode discovered. But the developer was late enough so they let the bug in the game as it was an easter egg.  Surprisingly, the players loved the combat and that’s how the game got its popularity.

Metroid

Metroid is one of those game which was perfect on its own term but also surprised everyone at the very end.  When the players win the battle and complete whatever mission they had, they finally get the chance to remove the space suited and blastic missile and here is what they the get surprising thing. The hero is actually a woman. However here is a little history, the programmer of the Metroid asked what if the hero is actually a woman at the end as it will be so cool.  At the time, the developers have seen the movie alien and they were inspired by the whole female-led.  And that’s how the suggestion actually turned into an idea and the Metroid’s hero turned out as women instead of men.
